This film took us through an emotional range of highs and lows appropriate for a young audience, and depicts how loving family bonds can weather the storm no matter what life brings. Sandra Oh is hilarious as the strict and standoffish teacher. I will definitely watch this again with my daughter. We cherished the portrayal of this loving dad-daughter relationship. John Corbett is outstanding as the dad who loses his job but sets a positive example with his attitude and outlook. Hubby and I watched this with our strong-willed 8 yr old daughter, and to say that we related to Ramona's struggles is a huge understatement. Quimby.It's a challenge to find quality films suitable for the whole family, but we LOVED this movie.
She was the third person to see her sister, Roberta, the first (obviously) being Mrs.She formerly had short hair but now has hair below the shoulders.She is learning how to speak French ever since attending high school.She also used to be friends with a girl named Pamela, but they fell out when Pamela became snobby about Mr. In "Ramona's World", she became best friends with Abby, and another close friend of hers is Mary Jane. In the movie, Beezus had a romantic relationship with Henry. When she was younger, she was friends with Henry Huggins, and he came over a lot with his dog, Ribsy. She has a special relationship with her Aunt Bea and was named after her. She fights with her sister, Ramona, but as they grew older, they became closer. She likes to goof around with her father. Her mother always says about how responsible and sensible she is. She does occasionally do something irrational, such as her arguments with Ramona and when she didn't ask permission before getting her ears pierced, but her sensible side always wins out. She's been called "her mother's girl" which makes Ramona jealous. She's mature for her age and adults often compliment her about this. She likes to sew and used to take art lessons, but would struggle creatively and also struggles when she has to do creative writing.
When Ramona was a baby she couldn't say "Beatrice" and instead said "Beezus", from that day forward that was her nickname.īeezus is very responsible and sensible, as shown by the fact that she always looks after her sister Ramona and that as she got older, she started babysitting.
